The SFV-CSOA is a part of the California Softball Official Association. Our purpose is to provide an educational and instructional program that will make it possible to officiate California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) softball games with efficiency and competency.

President's Message:

  Effective July 1, 2026 the terms of our new officer being for the San Fernando Valley Softball Umpires Association. My name is John Dall, and for the next two years, I will be serving as your President of the unit.

First, I pledge to leave the unit in better shape than it was when I began this term.

Second, manpower our number are still down so we all need to help recruit new umpires to join our unit.

Third, all member planning to umpire in the upcoming season will be subject to State Administered background check. A one -time fee of $30 will be required for each official to cover this check and your liability insurance for the entire year.

This fee applies once per official per year.

Our first board meeting is coming up soon looking forward to see you all at the meeting.
